The Story…
As this was Kerry’s third baby she didn’t attend any antenatal classes but she knew that she wanted her husband, Andrew and her Mum by her side whilst giving birth as she feels safest around them. She would also like to have had her Dad there but due to Covid restrictions she could only have 2 birth partners.
Due to a previous tear and her age, Kerry was induced a 1 week before baby’s due date and didn’t have a birth plan so just went with the flow. Labour was short and it was too late for the epidural to work!
Kerry and Andrew’s daughter was born with no complications at 12.30pm and they were home at 6pm to introduce her to her big brothers.
Kerry said “Make sure you soak in that baby bubble, they grow far too quick and newborns are the most precious things.”
Kerry’s advice to other Mum’s to be: “Try and enjoy every pregnant second and the birth”
Andrews’s advise to other birth partners: “Sleep lol”
Message from Kay: Kerry and Andrew are amazing parents and I love that they have chosen me to capture all of their family milestones with photographing all three of their children as newborns at my Long Eaton Studio. I think of them as family and love to hear from them telling me what they have all been up to. When Kerry told me she was pregnant with baby number 3 I was so excited for them, then when she messaged me from the hospital to let me know they had had a baby girl I was over the moon for them I was bouncing around with joy. I knew after 2 boys they wanted a little girl (although they would have loved a boy just the same) so we just had to celebrate with lots of pink in the newborn photos. Building relationships like this with my clients is what makes my heart sing that I get to be a small part in their journey and it truly is everything to me.
