Hi, this is me Kay Oliver. I am a maternity, newborn, baby and toddler photography specialist but what does that mean? It means that I work from my purpose built home studio and I welcome couples and families that come to my studio so I can create gorgeous images for them to cherish of the most amazing times in their lives! I only photograph this genre and no other, but I have photographed weddings, gigs, celebrities, fashion and other genres throughout my 19 year career. I am a member of Banpas and Photographers Guild and have won many awards for my photography over the years.

I started out in Wedding photography 19 years ago as I loved to capture the connections between families on these special days and when I was asked to photograph my friends and family in portraits I loved that too. But my love for maternity and baby photography was born when my sister in law got pregnant with my nephew 14 years ago,  I photographed her pregnant and then just 20 mins after Ethan was born I was taking photos of him too. The love for creating beautiful images to look back on was born and I wanted to do more and more of it but even though in America it was very popular in England this genre did not take off fully until 5 years ago and boy was I ready!! Over the last 14 years I have photographed thousands of babies and over the last 5 years I have photographed more and more maternity and newborn art images. I have trained with the best newborn photographers in the business and have learned over the years everything I could to do with babies to make me as good as I can be. I have 2 gorgeous boys of my own who have been photographed nearly every day of their life and I love that I will always have these images to look back on. I want to make sure everyone knows how important it is to have gorgeous images of their children when they are tiny and also to exist in portraits as parents so that you can look back on images of your family together and for your children to look back on and see the love you have for them from the very beginning.

All my clients have my full attention during their session as I am not a high street studio and don’t have customers coming and going all day. I have 1 or 2 sessions a day and that is it so that I can make sure everyone gets the time they need to have special images created without the pressure of getting the baby to perform within a set time. I make sure that your session is tailored to you and I have a large selection of props, blankets, outfits and backgrounds for us to do this. My studio is a relaxed space where magic happens and my clients love it.
